New reduced size of stamps for cigarettes and smoking tobacco introduced on 1 February 2016

The companies affixing stamps to cigarette packs and smoking tobacco packs are now allowed to choose a reduced size of stamps as an alternative to existing sizes of stamps. The new sizes are introduced for space reasons related to new requirements for health warnings. The new stamps for cigarettes measure 85 x 13 mm, whereas the pipe tobacoo and cigarette tobacco stamps measure 18 x 40 mm or 18 x 44 mm.
